Partial Solar Eclipse and Sun Earth Day Sessions

As a part of NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS 2007 with kind support of RVSP, Govt of India and Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science and Technology (APCOST) in association with Planetary Society, India organized various activities for “Partial Solar Eclipse” on 19^th March, 2007 and “Sun Earth Day” on occasion of Vernal Equinox on 21^st March, 2007.

Gist of activities Conducted :-

1. Seminar on Solar Eclipse on 18^th March, 2007 at two different venues.

a. DRS Kids CEE Center, Baghamberpet

b. D.A.V. Public School, Safilguda

2. Reflected Image Observation of “Partial Solar Eclipse” was conducted on 19^th March, 2007 from 5.30 a.m to 8.00 a.m at Open Ground in front of Department of Astronomy, O.U.

3. Sun Earth Day Seminar on 21 March, 2007 at two different venues was organised .

2. B.D.L.D.A.V. Bhanoor, Medak District.
   

4. Specially Compiled CD was

a. Sent to Field officers for organizing the above programmes in various districts.

b. Sent to Various District participants of Sarva Sikhsa Abhiyan Participants

c. Copy to Sarva Sikhsa Abhiyan Head

d. Copy to Director, S.C.E.R.T

e. District Collector, Rangareddy and Hyderabad
